一具被切分得支離破碎的女性屍體，前所未聞的連環殺人事件。國立科學搜查研究所要員姜民浩（薛景求飾）為了能騰出更多的時間陪伴與自己相依為命的女兒，與上司約定結束這個棘手案子後就放一段長假。

死者吳恩雅生前是容貌美麗的女人，為酒吧坐台小姐，屍體缺了右手手臂。經他和具有天才推理能力的熱血女警閔瑞英（韓惠珍飾）的聯合調查，他們把殺人嫌疑鎖定在李聖浩（柳承范飾）身上。

李聖浩是提倡促進生態農業發展的環保事業家，在當地民眾中享有極高的威望。被帶回警察局接受盤問的他稱自己就是連環殺人案的真凶，因反對死者生前主張的排水開墾事業而萌生殺意。

事件還沒有結束。正當姜民浩和同事們為搜查出更多的證據東奔西走時，他的女兒卻失蹤了。姜民浩確定女兒的失蹤和李聖浩有莫大的關系，後者卻提出如果姜民浩能夠解開他在屍體上留下的謎團的話，就告訴他女兒的下落。為了救出女兒，姜民浩開始與殺人魔爭分奪秒的作戰。

幕後製作

1、片中為了呈現出效果逼真的驗屍場面，化妝師特意拿了一大堆的豬內臟來做解剖的道具。薛景求更笑言「帶著一股濃濃的豬肉味道回到家，一次妻子還以為我從豬肉市場逛了一圈回來」。

2、首部以韓國國立科學捜査研究所為背景的電影。前期籌備花費兩年多的時間進行專業的資料搜查，片中的解剖検査室幾乎可以以假亂真，搜查隊的工作程序也嚴格借鑒了國力搜查研究所相關專家的意見。

3、薛景求還向韓國權威解剖專家韓吉路求教，學習解剖相關知識。在拍攝碎屍殺人案屍檢場面時，薛景求干凈利落地完成了所有鏡頭，一次NG都沒有出現，令在場的韓吉路博士也大贊「完美」。
